Sisters honored at Simi Valley Dream Cuisine

The Simi Valley Dream Cuisine – Be True To Your School – a festive evening of great food, wine and beer from the area’s finest restaurants, wineries and breweries will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, on the spacious grounds of St. Rose of Lima Church, 1305 Royal Ave. in Simi Valley.dc

Reverend Joseph Shea will host the evening, which will include two great shows. The first will be the always-hilarious Late Nite Catechism followed by the fan favorite Ronny & The Classics who will play oldies from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The festival will also kick off the 50th anniversary of St. Rose of Lima Grade School. We will honor the Sisters of Notre Dame who helped establish and who staffed our school for many years. We also will honor former principals and teachers.  A fabulous silent auction and opportunity drawing are also planned.

“The Simi Valley Dream Cuisine is quickly becoming the premiere wine & food festival in Ventura County. Where else can you eat and drink to your heart’s content, plus enjoy entertainment, a silent auction and raffle drawing, all for sixty dollars?” Father Shea said. “The festival will be a wonderful evening of fun, great food and drinks, and lovely entertainment.”

A reception for sponsors, honorees other VIPs will be hosted from 4 to 5:00 p.m. Reserved tables and general admission will be at 5:00 p.m.  A free shuttle service will connect satellite parking at Royal High School and Sinaloa Middle School to the festival throughout the evening.

Dinner tickets are $60 per person and a reserved table for 10 is $600. Tickets may be purchased online at www.svdream.com. If any tickets are available on October 12, they will be $70.00. Raffle tickets are $5 each. A book of five tickets is available for $25. Purchase two books and a third is provided free of charge. First prize in the raffle is $10,000, second prize is $5,000 and third prize is $2,500. Opportunities are also available for sponsorship and advertising in the full-color program.

The proceeds of this evening festival will help serve the poor and needy in the Simi Valley, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks areas. The annual Simi Valley Dream Cuisinewill also benefit Serving Those In Need, Inc., St. Rose of Lima Christian Service, St. Rose of Lima Parish and school.
