September 25 , 2008 -- The Sisters of Notre Dame and the Southern California Partnership for Global Justice joined 15 other governmental and nonprofit organizations at the L.A. Metro Task Force on Human Trafficking. The Freedom for Everyone pledge drive kicked off with signatures from sisters, tourists and school children. A panel discussion provided valuable information about the nature of human trafficking in the Southland and collaborative efforts to free victims and punish those who exploit other people.
