Celebrating Two Jubilees and a First Profession
On Saturday, July 14, 2007, over two hundred
people gathered at Notre Dame Center for
Jubilee celebrations combined with a first vow
ceremony. Sr. Dwina Marie Towle celebrated
her 50th Jubilee, Sr. Mary Kathleen Burns
celebrated her 25th Jubilee and Sr. Valerie
Marie Roxburgh made her first profession of
vows.“The liturgy was truly amazing,” said
Sr. Valerie. “There was such positive energy
and love in our chapel.”
“To see three sisters stand up, each in different
stages, was great,” said Sr. Kathleen. “I felt
surrounded by warmth and love.” Sr. Dwina
Marie got to share her Jubilee with many
family members from out of town and a week
later celebrated her birthday. “Jubilee lasts all
year,” she said recently. “I’m still so happy.”
These three sisters have walked very different
paths in their journeys with Christ. Read their stories...
